UTI

Mom’s in the hospital again tonight.  Her cathether hasn’t been changed in six weeks.  The one before that was in there for almost the entire three months she was in the hospital.  We were just informed that they are supposed to be changed once a month. 

We didn’t know.

Her doctor called cussing today wanting to know why it wasn’t changed.  He said he had her urine culture there and was pissed off that they didn’t change it out when they took the culture.  He made her go straight to the ER to have it changed and start antibiotics.

Supposedly whe will only be in a couple of days.  Guess we’ll see.
