Mom

I talked to her a little while ago.  She started rehab today.  They are teaching her to move without reinjuring her back.  She will have about five days of rehab and then they should release her. 

She even had recreational thearpy today.  She said that it was really awful.  It was some man with a guitar, singing Kumbyah (sp?) to all the comatose people.  Mom was a little frightened or weirded out.  Either way she won’t be going back.

Her physical thearpy and occupational therapy went good though.  She has three hours of each, each day till she is released.  I think its a lot on her, but she needs to get moving. 

The therapist asked her what she did all day and Mom started bawling because she said she sleeps until someone gets home to help her.  I think that will change now.

Use of her feet and legs are slowly returning.  That spianl cord is an amazing thing.  It takes time to heal, but its doing so.  She said the greatest thing is that there is no pain.  She said it was  like a switch someone finally turned it off.

Tomorrow I will take Doll to see her.  its been almost two weeks since Mom got to hold her.  I think it will make her happy.  Jesse got to see Mom today.  It was the first time in two weeks.  He made her cry.  Jesse told her Momma, I missed you now settle down and stop crying.  Crazy boy.  He missed her.

Ugg, so sleepy.  More packing to be done tomorrow.  We’re supposed to hear about the apartment by noon tomorrow.  Still have my fingers crossed.
