Home, finally

Corpus was wonderful.  It rained and stormed, but the sun snuck out for a while when we hit the beach.  Sunday was so windy we couldn’t put up the canopy, but there were enough clouds to keep Mom from roasting.  The under current scared the shit out of me.  I wouldn’t let the kids out past thier knees.  How do you explain "hey the water could sweep you away and kill you?" in kid friendly versions?  So it was mostly because I said so, damnit.

We got out of the hotel parking lot and brandy’s truck threw a fan belt.  There was a PepBoys next door.  Thank God.  We got on the road only an hour afterwards.

We were ten miles from home when a car passing us threw up some gravel or shit off the raod and broke the big huge window on the side of the van.  Its the window next to Maddie.  I have to give Bran lots of credit, she could have wrecked us right then, but she held it together long enough to get us in the driveway.  She bawled as soon as she parked the van.  Maddie didn’t flinch.  She was too busy staring at the ceiling.  Daddy and I got a bag taped over it a little bit ago.  Of course is supposed to fucking rain now.  The man to look at it will be here in the morning.  I’ll try and get a pic tomorrow.

And I might even attempt to upload pics tomorrow, but I have a fuck ton of homework to get turned in by midnight.  I’m so worn out.  I’m going to bed.
