Does anyone else’s child hold your hair for comfort?  As the Doll is falling asleep, she gets a handful of my hair and holds it like most people hold a teddy bear.  She dosen’t pull or anything.  Should I be worried that it will lead to hair pulling?

Y’all take care and hug those babies tight.

Thanks for your note. Now, RE: this entry. One of my kids used to hold my hair, and sometimes slowly stroke it for comfort when upset or going to sleep. It is harmless as long as it doesn’t bother you. I, personally, think it is sweet.

Mason has to play with my ear inorder to fall asleep. I think its just a comfort thing…to make sure that I am still there. Yah know?

Hmmm, Evan ruyns his fingure through mine before naps but doesn’t pull, unless he hits a tangle. Unless she pulls I wouldn’t worry, just another sign that she loves her mommy. 🙂 ryn: yeah, at least he went shopping for me. 🙂

My Amy would twirl my hair at night when she was little… while she had her arms and legs wrapped around me in a death grip. I miss those days LoL… they grow up so fast. 🙂

You mean like that guy in those Charlie’s Angels movies. Nah you got nothing to worry about.

I wouldn’t be too worried. But, to be honest, all babies are going to pull hair at some point.

I haven’t heard of this, but that doesn’t mean anything. My kids are strange don’t you know!

I was looking at your ticker on your front page, and if it’s accurate, it looks like our daughter’s are only a couple of weeks apart…mine just turned nine months on the 26th 🙂 She holds my hair, but not for comfort…it doesn’t sound like much to be worried about, though. For comfort yourself, your pedi would know. Take care,
