Was your baby planned or a surprise?

She was “if it happens, YAY!!!, if not, we can keep trying.”  🙂

What is your baby’s birthday?

April 15, 2004

Was she/he early, late or on time?

one week early 

Did you know the sex of the baby before he/she was born?

Oh yes.  I had to prove Joseph wrong.  🙂

How much did he/she weigh?

7 lbs.  10 oz.

How long was he/she?

20″

How long was your labor?

24 hours of back labor. 

Did you have a vaginal birth or a c-section?

c-section

If you had a vaginal birth, did you have any pain medications?

c-section means looooots of drugs

Did your water break on its on or did it have to be broken?

doc broke it.

Who was in the delivery room/house with you?

Umm, everybody and there neighbor was in there while i was in labor, but only Joseph was in the OR when I was having surgery.

If you could, is there anything you would change about your birth experience?

No.  Things were easy on my and Doll, so I’ll leave it just the way it was.

Did you have an OB or midwife?

What one thing about your baby’s birth really sticks out in your mind?

I was laying on the table shivering and one of the docs said “Its hot, can we turn on the AC?”  I told him he would be cold if he was laying on a table half ass naked too.  The other doc said “You are more than half ass naked.”  Smart ass.  I don’t remeber a lot of anything else.  They swooped Doll off to the nursery because she was having so much trouble and I got morphine after that.  I was too drugged out to remember much.

What one thing do you remember most about your baby when you saw him/her for the first time?

She was so small and bright red.  How could that possibly be mine?  Was she really here?

After your baby was born, what was the first thing you ate and drank (if you remember)?

They brought me my dinner tray that they had saved for me, but for the life of me I can’t remember what was on it.
