Daunting, I know. But all I can keep telling myself is that I take this one small step at a time – one task at a time. The first thing before I even move in is going to be the floors. Can’t really do those when living there as the smell is bad from what I hear and the floors need 24 – 48 hours to dry. But I am stuck because I want to convert to gas and I am told that involves cutting spaces in the floor for venting and removing radiators. Removing the radiators will be great because they take a good amount of space in the rooms they’re in and the rooms are, not going to say small, we’ll go with intimate, to begin with.
Got word from my bank yesterday, they’re going to need a 2-week extension on the closing. I am weary…the P&S from the bank that owns this property was pretty clear that they wanted to close on April 28 and there is a clause in there that if there is any delay on my end from that date? It’s a $100 per diem fine. When I talked to my attorney about it originally he said it’s a standard thing in bank P&S’s and that if the time came he writes a letter requesting the extension and asking them to waive the fee or we walk. I don’t want to walk!!! Fucking bank…can’t understand why they take 2-weeks to get an appraisal done. In this market? So please, keep your fingers crossed that the bank agrees and I don’t lose this. This isn’t my fault at all. The bank gets the materials they need from me the minute they ask, or at the very most, one day later.
I wonder if they say that for the people who are procrastinators. Good thing you’re using a lawyer. 😉
