DePhoMo: Entry Four – Thursday: The Collection

No, the room still isn’t painted pink.  No, the shelves haven’t been fixed so they’re balanced.  HA!  Lemme see if I can remember them all.  Pink Ribbon Barbie, Peppermint Holiday Barbie, Lily Pulitzer’s Barbie (hidden) and Skipper, Anna Sui Barbie, Dooney & Bourke Barbie, Barbie collectible dress stand, Ahm, Marilyn Monroe Barbie (at the infamous Prez Kennedy’s birthday party), Daria the Fashion Model Barbie and Cynthia Rowley Barbie.  In the box below them is: On Location: South Beach Barbie Model in her white slinky bathing suit, with fashionable denim outfit (all accessories included) and her fabu silver-blue evening club dress (again, all accessories invcluded).

Below that and on the filing cabinet next to the chair is my Boyd’s Bear collection.  On the table top is Good Sandy and Bad Sandy from Grease, Scarlet O’Hara from Gone With The Wind wearing her 3 most remembered dresses from the movie and Monique Lhuillier’s Bride Barbie.  Below that is a Donny and Marie Osmond doll, Marie’s design from their dolls in the 1970’s.  Damn  I wish I had those original dolls still!  Then there’s a couple of winter holiday Barbies.

Directly above my desk is the rest of my Barbie collection.  Top shelf is, I dunno, Flaming Flamenco Dancing Barbie?  Then the entire collection from the Wizard of Oz.  Behind Dorothy you cannot see Ballerina Barbie with her flighty feather in hand…you can kind of see the feather, but not shy Ballerina Barbie.  Below that is the Department 54 Barbie homes.  There’s her Pet Salon to the left, her fabulous pink Barbie mansion (replete with while poodles instead of lions at the gate) and her Christmas Salon.  Then there’s Cruella De Ville.
