Why do I pay for this crap? * *

Dear Diary;

Honest to goodness, I’m about to blow.

Why the fuck am I paying for this diary when it doesn’t work half the time? This is pissing me off. I just wrote a whole entry- did some research- it took me almost an hour and when I went to save it? Nope. Fucking piece of shit.

I submitted a help form because it kept doing this- and they wrote me back telling me it was my computer and I needed to clear my temp. files and whatnot.. I wrote back telling them I ALREADY DID THAT and it didn’t fix the problem-

oh and p.s. I’m on a different computer and it’s still happening.

I love OD, I do… that’s why I bought a lifetime membership…..

but seriously.

Seriously? Is it too much to ask for it to work?

And why the fuck is it showing me Chicago IL stats when I click on the stats on the front page?? I’m in CANADA for crying out loud.

I write in word at home, but I want NO evidence that I was writing at work- even if I don’t save it.. ya know? It’s work….

sometimes when I am writing an entry and i either want to work on it over a bit of time or i don’t trust OD… i’ll type it up in Word and then cut and paste. Figure it’s a little safer and easier. 🙂 CHEERS!

most of the time if i am writing a big entry or something i will copy it before i hit save, then if it does what yours is doing, i’ll log out then log back in and then save it but i don’t know what ODs deal is lately 🙁

I write my entries in Word and then cut/paste ’em, just in case. OD has eaten a couple of my entries and it ticked me off so badly that I said, “Never again!!!” FYI, there’s another Canadian ODer I know who is having the same troubles you are and the Diary Master told them it was their computer, too. Hmmmmm??? Why is this only happening to Canadian folks????? Sorry, honey.

i don’t have to pay for od but it makes me mad when it does not work half the time when do you have to pay for it.

I hear ya (about not wanting any kind of evidence at work). Word does make a .tmp file whenever you type anything. You are wise not to want to leave a trail. Maybe you could type a couple of paragraphs and then save it as private (so it won’t show up on people’s faves lists) and then go back into it and edit it and type a couple more paragraphs and then save it as public or faves only or whatever. It’s a hassle, but better than losing an entry that you’ve spent a long time on. Blech! Just an idea. It’s so frustrating!!!! Love you.
