The one with the killer hair dryer..
Dear Diary;
So, I forgot to mention this, but my moms hair dryer tried to set me on fire yesterday.
We own two hair dryers- one is mine and the other belongs to my mother. We typically use the same dryer when we’re both here and when we go, we take our own with us. I’ve been using hers because it blows warmer air and isn’t as strong. Mine tends to blow really hard and the air is cooler. Anyway- I was bent over and I had my hair flipped over because I was drying the back and I was starting to smell something burning. I stood up and everything was fine, so I went back to drying my hair. I started smelling more burning so I brought the dryer down to my level so I could see it and that’s when I noticed it was spitting sparks at me and my hair was in fact burning! I was clearly not impressed.
*I’m distracted right now because my messenger keeps popping up saying I have a new email message from Facebook. we’re up to 10 in a row now… You’ll never guess who/what it is. It’s E tagging the photos I added to my Facebook photography group. lol *
Anywho, that’s today’s story. I’m not feeling great today and I wasn’t feeling great yesterday either. I am dizzy and I hate being dizzy. Yesterday I thought it might have something to do with the Rabeprazole, but I woke up this morning and my ear feels plugged so I’m almost certain is has to do with my ears. I’ve gone my entire life without having ear problems or infections and now, at 26 years old I’m having to deal with them a lot. Thankfully it doesn’t hurt like the infection I had back in the fall- but it’s really annoying.
As for the Rabeprazole, I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I’m still taking it daily like a good girl, but I’m starting to wonder how much I’m going to have to compromise to not have the weird feeling in my chest. I’m experiencing side effects (not to be confused with adverse affects) that are annoying- just as annoying as the weird feeling was. I should also mention that aside from not having crazy intense heart burn like I used to, I still get that weird feeling/pain. It’s rare, but it’s not gone.
I’ll give it another week and then I’m going back to the old man.
It’d be nice when a hair dryer dies if it would just stop working and not turn on…mine did the same thing years ago except my hair actually caught fire. My straightener sparked when it died; now I’m just paranoid of setting my head on fire that I don’t use anything :/ glad your experience wasn’t any worse than it was!

Scary! Sometimes the meds can take several months to be fully effective. Glad the heartburn is gone.

ya usually when you smell the burning you should stop blow drying haha … mine does that all the time 😛

Hello! Just a brief note that since Photo Scavengers is currently inactive we thought we would take the concept to a new diary. Since you have participated in the past we wanted to extend an invitation to the new diary to join those of us who want to continue with the premise. Hope to see you over there!
