Sweep it, Up!

 Dear Diary;

"Up" was such a great movie, so I don’t mind that it’s winning everything at the Oscars.

I’m such a whiner, aren’t I?

 "Wah, my back hurts! What should I do?" – like I didn’t expect people would tell me to go to my doctor. Duh Meghan, it’s the logical thing to do. *smacks head*.

anyway- to update:

I didn’t go to my doctor (and I won’t be going, either) for the record. For those who haven’t read any past entries, I HATE my doctor and I think he should retire so I can get a new one. Why can’t I go get one of the several new doctors who are taking patients in my town right now? Because if you already have a family doctor they won’t even look at you. By the time my doctor retires (or dies.. which ever comes first) the new doctors won’t have any space for new patients.  Seriously though, I’m trying to be patient (ha!) while waiting for my doctor to retire because once he does and I’m FREEEEEEEE, I will be at a new doctor getting a complete physical ASAP.

I didn’t go to the emergency room either. I thought about it for a while when the pain was really bad- but then realized that sitting in a waiting room for 3+ hours wouldn’t help me much. I went in there for back pain when I was at Davern on ’05 and they looked at me like I was stupid. The doctor on duty gave me a prescription for T-3’s and sent me on my merry way with a bruised lung. Yup. I think I’ll pass on the ER.

I didn’t make an appointment with a chiropractor either because, well, let’s face it. I’m poor. I’m broke. I’m living at home and depending on my parents to take care of me right now because I’m unemployed. An initial consultation with a chiropractor is $115.

So that’s that. I’ve been taking ibuprofen and B vitamins and laying in bed a lot. I can move now, which is a nice change, but there is definitely still some sharp pains if I move the wrong way or sit for too long. I imagine I’ll feel better by this time next week.

Let’s see… what else is interesting? I washed my sheets today and my mommy hung them out on the clothes line for me. They smell really nice and fresh and I can’t wait to go to bed.

I watched Sister Act 2 again today and cried when they sang (which is completely normal for me).

I watched P.S I Love You last night with my mom and she cried several times (which is completely normal for her).

I have nothing else to write.

Oh, try an ice pack for about 20 minutes, then a heating pad for about 20. Alternate them. It helps! Hang in there.

Hope your back gets better and better with each passing day. RYN: Thank you! You made me smile and giggle.

and sitting in the ER you could have caught something else that would have made you equally miserable for the next week anyway…like the flu :/ My family doc was the $hit$ and he finally retired in january; I got picked up by my husbands doc because no one else wanted me – I haven’t even met the dude yet. I’m hoping he’s good.
