Surprise! …. ruined.

 Dear Diary;

I mentioned that I’m making a cake for my mom’s birthday (which was yesterday) and I’m having family over tomorrow night to "celebrate". It was a surprise because I knew she wouldn’t want to have anything- so I made sure that everyone knew not to say anything about it. I messaged my cousin April last night to tell her about it and tell her mom, L, (the woman I despise… Gary’s "wife") and I told her it was a surprise. 

Anyway, L called tonight to wish mom a happy birthday and I talked to her first- mentioned that we were having cake.. yadda yadda… I told her mom would call her back and I figured that April would tell her it was a surprise because I forgot. Well, call me stupid- I should’ve known better. I KNEW I should’ve reminded L that it was a surprise because you can bet that as soon as she did get on the phone with mom she mentioned the cake and completely ruined the whole surprise.

So.. now mom knows and the whole thing is blown.
