Sunflowers *edit*

Dear Diary;

This is mostly for Super Hot Female, who asked if I had any pictures of sunflowers in my collection. I do have two- though they’re old and taken with my point-and-shoot Kodak camera. I’ll be sure to take new sunflower pictures this summer when we plant them in the garden. 🙂

Just out of curiosity, if you ever were going to think about purchasing a photograph, what kinds of things would draw you in? What kinds of photographs would you be more inclined to buy? What subject matter?

i just looked at your store thinger now…i’m such a dork i didn’t realize i was supposed to click there and look lol anyway…any of the animals you put up (esp the dog’on tractor!) i would totally get when we get a house. the dog’on tractor one i would probably even make it BIG (12×18 or whatever the common large size is) and have that be the big pic of the room. i had a big pic of a rabbit

in my room and used to think it “watched” me while I slept as a kid…cheesy but i want my kids to have watchers too someday 😀

For me its b&w photos of trees and leaves and fences and the sky. Or abstract things — corners of a larger photo — or a close up pic of something. It depends on my mood, though, and how much $$$$ I have. =)

You take beautiful photographs. I don’t know how to answer what makes me like a picture. I’ve learned that I’m struck by light and texture, and then colour. Need to think about that question.

I love black and whites of water and mountains and dreary things…if that makes sense 🙂

I base my purchase decision on the quality of the photo; I’m very much into detail and capturing the beauty of the subject. As for topic, I’m not particular. Once I bought a picture of a hand on a letter because it was black and white and had awesome detail and emphasis on the right parts.

RYN: AW!!!! You are so awesome, Meghan! Thank you for your note about the Snapvine voice thingy. And, for your other notes, too. I didn’t say this in my big long entry, but I knew in my dream that I went on to do other acting gigs and whatnot and I asked you if you would be my personal photographer and you said yes! We got to go all over the freakin’ world and you were there chronicling the wholething with your cameras (yes, that was plural — I paid you topnotch dollars!!!). The touchstone was a major part of the story. No wonder I slept so poorly last night. I was having major dream stuff going on.

I’m in Loveeee with these photos! I love sunflowers – these are so beautiful! The color is really sharp and clear. I can’t wait to see what you’ll take this summer! For me, I’d by any photograph like these of sunflowers – I’ve loved them for as long as I can remember and then we had them at my dad’s funeral, so they’re really special to me now too- thanks for sharing these pics. I do love them!

RYN: How fun! Thank you in advance!!! Oh, and I just have to tell you that we had such fun traveling all over the world. I would be doing the acting thing and you would go to all these places nearby and snap photos. It was soooo fabulous! =)

I like the 2nd sunflower “puffball” picture you have there. As for subject matter and what draws me in – I love kitties, puppies (cats & dogs too), and other colourful animals (like tree frogs and the kinds of pictures like TELUS would do). The fantastical (fairies, unicorns, etc) also draws me in – but those usually need to be photoshoped or created by CGI.

RYN: OOOH! I can see that bookmark in my mind’s eye! =) Very YOU!
