Stroke of genius. *E

 Dear Diary;

For the past few weeks the local paper has been running a small article about a photo contest. I glanced at it a couple of times and didn’t pay much attention. My mom has been hounding me to send in a photo, and it wasn’t until today that I really thought about it. Of course, the deadline is less than a week away at this point, so perhaps I should have thought about it earlier.

Anywho.. I was driving home with Erin tonight and we were going through Perth and I was trying to think of things to take pictures of. Everything has been done! We have lots of local landmarks and things that people see everyday and the more I thought about it, the less excited I was getting. With probably quite a few photos of the big ben statue being submitted, there was no way I was going to win if I did the same thing. That’s when it hit me! What is this small town about? Heritage. Buildings. PEOPLE.

FLASH MOB PHOTO SHOOT!!

So I came home and immediately put a message out to people on Facebook to show up at a certain place tomorrow afternoon- rain or shine. I’m going to photograph THE PEOPLE!

I don’t know if it will work out. I don’t know if anyone will show up. I don’t know if what I’m envisioning is what I’m going to end up with.

… but it’s worth a try, right?
