Still. *edit for Question* *edit again*
Dear Diary;
Well…
I’m still hurtin’. Is it as bad as it was a few days ago? No. Can I bend over yet? No. Can I find a comfortable position? Not really. I can sort of get comfortable if I put ice on my back and take a couple of ibuprofen and lay perfectly still half on my back and half on my side.
Sigh.
I was feeling a bit better yesterday too (as I wrote) but then I got in the shower (stupid Meghan…) and thought maybe I was O.K enough to shave my legs. HA! Worst idea ever. I moved wrong and BAM! Instant, sharp, shooting pain and I was on my knees and then flat on my back in less than a second. So much for feeling better, eh? It was such a stupid move; I should’ve known better.
anyway, I can’t sit here much longer unless I want to make it worse. I have to go check out some things; are chiropractors and physio- therapists covered by OHIP…?
So a Chiropractor isn’t covered at all and it’s fucking expensive. There’s no way I’m going to be able to scrap up money for that so it’s out completely.
Question: Is it stupid to go to the emergency room for back pain? Be honest. It’s silly, isn’t it. They’re going to look at me like I’m an idiot.
fuck me.
Never mind. Stupid question.
There is no solution that works for me. I’m just going to lay in my bed and ice it.
they may be if you get a prescription for either; the physio you have a greater chance of that being covered. I think both are generally something you’d have to have private benefits for or pay out of pocket :/

What about going and getting a massage. Tell them about your back pain first. They know backs so they might be able to tell you whats wrong and how to fix it.

i dont think going to the emergancy room is stupid, maybe you really hurt something in your back. they can do xrays and see and maybe give you some strong drugs to help. GOO!!

How about going to see your regular doctor?

I’d go to the ER…they could atleast get you pain medicine. We don’t have insurance so unfortunately if we don’t have the extra cash we go to the ER. It costs more in the end.. maybe they could at least give you a perscription for pain mesa.

OMG, so this is really weird, but I hurt my back about a week ago. I was doing laundry, bent down, and then I couldn’t walk or move without having intense pain. I went to the doc and she said I had pulled a ligament. She gave me a shot of something “ibuprofen-like” and a scrip for some painkillers and muscle realxers. She advised doing yoga (cat/cow) stretch, ice alternating with heat. I’m still in a lot of pain. I guess it can take a while to heal. I don’t know if something similar is going on with you, but it couldn’t hurt to have a doc look at it (emergency room or regular). I hope you feel better soon. We must be on the same wavelength or something–and not a GOOD one. Hugs,
