Never a dull moment..

Dear Diary;

mom: (through my window) "I’m coming inside now, the bugs are bad. We can play a game, like Scrabble or something."

me: "Okay."

mom: (now inside) "It’s hot in here, let’s move to the dining room table."

me: "What are we going to play? Scrabble?"

mom: "No, I don’t want to play scrabble. Something like scrabble."

me: "Do you want to play Monopoly?"

mom: "No. No monopoly. Let’s play a card game."

me: "Okay, like what?"

mom: "Monopoly Deal or Scrabble Slam."

me: "but… okay, whatever."

(we get to the table and sit down, I start to deal the cards)

mom: "I’m hot. I’m going to take off my pants."

….

dad (from the other room): "What are you doing?"

mom: "I’m taking off my pants. It’s hot!"

me: "Go put your night gown on or something."

mom: "Just deal the cards… and you’ll tell me if someone comes to that door, right?"

me: "Yeah.. sure."

(we play a game of monopoly deal and I win.)

mom: "I hate that. I’m not playing that again. Let’s play the other one."

(we play a game of scrabble slam, and I win.)

mom: "I don’t like this game. Let’s play the other one again."

(we play another game of monopoly deal, and I win).

mom: "I quit. I’m going to put my night gown on."

So anyway..

♥ I’m going to a weekend conference this coming weekend. It should be a good time. The Y is renting us a car and I’m driving the 5.5 hours to Torrence Ont. I’m hoping that Emily likes the same music as me, otherwise it’s going to be a long ride in a quiet car.  I’ll be gone Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

♥ I’m running out of weekends! This weekend if the conference, the weekend after is when I’m supposed to pain my grandpa’s garage, then I have a free weekend and then the last weekend in May is the Work Weekend to get the camp ready for summer- followed by resource pre-camp and then I have a week to rest up before staff camp and then BAM! Camp starts and holy shit…. It’s May already.

♥ I went to see a movie with my aunt and 6 y/o cousin yesterday. We saw Disney’s Oceans. It was actually really cool.

♥ My parents bought a new washing machine (they’ve had the old one since.. oh.. 1989) so I got to test it out today when I washed my sheets. It’s … fancy.

That’s all I’ve got.

Ha! Your play-by-play about the time with your Mom sounds so much like my time with my Mom, except she throws in a bunch of sighs and complaints and stories that don’t quite make sense. She hates any game that she is losing at. Hee Hee This year has flown by. I seriously can’t believe it’s May already. Woot! Woot! for the new washing machine. =)

some of those new washing machines on the market are pretty stinkin complicated…my inlaws have some with a million buttons on them; I let the husband do the wash 😛 haha
