Just as they warned..

 Dear Diary;

Here’s a general update….

♥ My aunt’s cat died on Tuesday. I guess last weekend they took her to the vet and the vet said she’d had a heart attack (she was a fat cat.. 25lbs) and they could do surgery but it would cost them something outrageous like $600. I’m not sure of the full story since I was away- but Sadie died Tuesday morning. I painted a rock to put over her grave in their back yard.

♥ A year ago when my car was going downhill and I took it in to see about getting the gas tank fixed (because it leaks) they warned me that the car wasn’t going to last long and that it wasn’t worth fixing because the bottom was rusting out and my brakes were rusted too.  Well, today was the day I learned that they were very right. I was going to town and heading out the road towards the highway- I was going to come to a stop at the end of the road but when I put my foot on the brake it went straight to the floor. *panic* I came to a stop, but I only have half the brake power now. Needless to say, I turned around and went back home.

♥ I’m really annoyed with the Y right now. A while ago (when I was thinking I was going to be the new director) I was asked to help finish leadership interviews because the person doing it was going home to Newfoundland because her grandmother died. I was told that there was only 1 or 2 left to call and interview. I received a list in my email of all the leaders/lits that needed to be called (ALL of them needed to be called, btw) so I started doing that and I interviewed several of them- one of which I had to drive to Ottawa and do in person. I finally thought I was finished and then this week they send me ANOTHER list of lit’s with a little note that says "Did you see this second list? Could you please call and interview these girls. Thanks." Um… Excuse me?? THIS IS NOT MY JOB. It’s been a month since I started- I’m sure the girl who started the job (because it’s HER job) is back now. Also, I know the new director has been appointed (if I haven’t mentioned this, they told me who the new director is.. it’s not been announced yet though). and I’m sure she could do it too. Did I mention that when I’m calling- it’s long distance calls?? Yeah.
