Interview

♥  I applied for a job last night and got a call for an interview this morning. I’m excited because it’s a full time position and the pay is decent- but upon finding out more, I’m not impressed. The ad said Ottawa west- which is the end closest to where I am (and that in itself is an hour commute) but when she sent me the address of their building/house for the interview, it’s waaaaay across the city in the east end! That’s another hour tacked on with the city traffic! Insane.

Now, I now that it’s just the interview that I have to go here for because the job entails driving to clients homes (elderly clients, it’s like a PSW position) to assist them, but I hope that those places are closer to the west end. I think I’ll be needing a GPS for this job if I get it.

The goal is to work for a while and commute long enough to PAY BILLS (I’m so broke, it’s not funny) and then if I can save enough, get  place somewhere in the city. Pipe dreams? Maybe. Gotta shoot for something though. It’s gonna be a long while of commuting….

The other thing is, she sent me a list of things to bring to the interview- and some of the things are impossible to get by tomorrow morning- like a police record check. I can go in and get one started, but they usually take 2 weeks. I have to email her back too because there’s apparently a medical form to be filled out by a doctor but she never attached one.

Hoops. So many to jump through,

Good luck! That almost sounds like you’re hired, most companies want those things after you have been given an offer of employment.
