How valuable is your time?

♥ I’m frustrated. Incredibly.

It seems as though once again I’ve met someone who believes their time is more valuable than my own. This new guy, Colin, he and I chatted yesterday and he asked me if I was available today to meet after work. I said sure, and he told me he would be in contact with me through the day.

I got up this morning, excited that not only was it my last day taking a kid to his placement- but I had plans after work that I was very much looking forward to. I took a nice bath, shaved my legs, exfoliated and moisturized and even put on my sexy matching underwear- because hey, there was a good chance I was going to get lucky and a girl has to be prepared for anything. At around noon, I still hadn’t heard anything from him, so I sent a message asking if we were still on. 

By the time I was done work at 4 (and I told him my hours, so he knew) I STILL hadn’t heard a word from him and I was livid. Once again I had met someone who was a flake and who possibly thought I would just sit around and wait. With Ed, I have been constantly disappointed by this kind of thing- but because I knew his situation at home, I was more angry with myself for putting myself in that situation. With Colin, I’m just mad at him.

I hadn’t heard a word from him even after sending a few messages, so I decided to just go home. I was literally a minute away from my house when I got a text from him and I flipped my shit. He fed me an excuse about having his service cut off and not receiving my messages and not realizing it until after 4- which may or may not be true, but I’m still pissed off that he waited all day to even check his phone when he KNEW we had these plans.

Fuck! WHY do people do this?? How is this an acceptable thing?? How were these people raised?? I’m not kidding around here- this KEEPS happening to me! I would never think to be so inconsiderate of another persons time. This is my newest, biggest pet peeve.
