Good boy update.

 Dear Diary;

I have to make this quick because I have to leave for work in… 4 minutes.

I called the vet early this morning and they told me to bring Boots in right away, they could fit him in. So I took him in and told them I want to do what I can, but I have limited funds. The vet told me he was dehydrated, constipated and that she wanted to do some blood work for him. Technically he’s considered to be a senior because he’s 7 – but I don’t think of him as a senior. Especially since every other cat I’ve known has lived to be 15, 16 years old and my grandma’s cat was 23 when she died. I know that’s rare, but compared to Boots being 7… he’s not a senior to me. They have to keep him over night and give him IV fluids and an enema and they were going to do some basic blood work (they said they would call me by noon with results from that… it’s 1:06pm and no word). All in all, it’s going to cost me upwards of $300 for all this and if they can’t figure it out, it could cost even more to do more testing.

I hate that he’s there all alone… it KILLS me to leave him there, but I know he’s in good hands and getting re-hydrated. I hope he’s okay. I miss my baby boy and the house feels like it’s definitely missing something.

Good thoughts for my baby, okay?

I’ll die if anything bad happens to him.

I don’t know if you car likes water or not but for those that don’t drink alot of water on their own it’s suggested to mix water in with their food [wet or dry] so they’re getting water whether they want it or not. Also wet food in his diet can help with the constipation issue.
