Blank slate

My room is now a blank slate. This morning before I went to work, I removed everything (except the massive desk that won’t fit through the door), sanded, filled holes, painted the ceiling and primed the walls. Eventually, I figured out how to remove the top of the desk, so that’s gone now too.. I moved my bed back in so I can sleep, but other than the bed, half the desk and this computer, the rooms is empty, white and blank. I kind of LOVE it.

We got our formal invitation to Michael’s wedding tonight. It was stuck in the door when I got home. Not only did they spell my name wrong, but they also spelled my mom’s name wrong. Here’s a little tip for all you people out there sending out wedding invitations to your family… take 5 minutes to make sure you spell their name right. There is nothing more insulting than that and there is no excuse. They’re your family, for heaven’s sake.

Anyway, they have a website created to give people information about their wedding. They say you have to RSVP to the wedding no later than the end of this month- and by November 8th if you want to get the same flight/rates. Umm… that would be TODAY, and clearly I haven’t figured out if I’m going or not. It’s looking more and more like I won’t be going to this wedding, which is disappointing.

Here’s some engagement pics:

I’m jealous.

Glee now.

By best friend for the past 20-odd years told me that she is now engaged, I think I was one of the first to know which is nice but man… such a streak of envy went thru me. I am the last of my friends to settle down and do the marriage and/or kid thing. But I am happy for her to have found the right person and tho it has been quick, I think he’s a good guy. So all we can do is be happy!?
