Forever and ever the scars will remain…

~Walking in a black alley, its late. The gentle breeze whispers along your skin, and you let out a short shiver as you walk by. The darkness surrounds you, almost consuming you in its utter emptiness. You pick up your pace. The alley goes on forever, you try and try to reach its end. The faster you walk the longer it appears. You burst out into a run, trying to reach the end. But no matter how hard you try you can ever get out. Your trapped forever in a long empty place. You stop. What’s the point of chasing something that you can’t achieve? You look around you. There are a few windows on the building next to you. You look in. The first image is of him. You can’t help but to stare. As you look in you see yourself step into the picture. You have a smile on your face as he takes your hand and pulls you in close. You watch yourself gaze up at him with wide eyes. Slowly he lends down, you part your lips for a kiss. The remember how sweet it tasted standing there watching this scene play out. You watch yourself place your hand on the side of his face feeling the softness of his skin. You watch him secure his arms around you and you glenty pull back to gaze into his eyes. Suddenly you turn away, you can’t watch the remainder of the memory. Its too painful. You move on to the next window. This one is shows you watching him from a distance. He catches your glance and makes his way over to you. You see the tears in your eyes, you see the concern on his face. Again you walk away from this window, the memory too much. The next window shows you and your tears, alone. You can’t take it anymore, you collapse in the middle of the alley. You let new tears fall freely. You see him clearly in your head, walking away. The hurt, the pain, the sorrow, the brokeness. He took so much when he left. He destroyed what you used to be. He left and didn’t care what happened to you, what he left you with, what he did to you, it all didn’t matter to him. Forever and ever the scars will remain on your heart. Forever and ever the whole will stay. Forever and ever it will never heal. The damage has been done. And now your left to wander aimlessly in a dark alley trying to figure out when the dark path will lighten…
