Who knows? *FWU*

Proceeding
moving forth
a call to action
we’ll see
I build intentions through words
will action bear fruit

Different paces
betrayals mount on souls
each new thing seen through a veil
woven of tears and lies
I come from a different place
layers of covering long lifted

A fool
displaying everything bare
slapping against armor
such fair souls I meet
but oh what damage has been done
long before I ambled into the scene

And all I have to offer
is the light that waits
on the other side of darkness
take my hand if you would
see the dappled light that shines
through a filter of leaves

Imperfect for certain
see my faults glare
among my strengths
I offer what I have
kiss the bruises
hold the wounds up toward the sun

*FWU: Fecking Weather Update*
Not to be confused with Dave Dog’s FWG entries, which should be read on a regular weekly basis for a cat’s eye view of living with the wonderful Mr. Dog.
So this part of the world is under a Severe Weather Watch. Oh yeah … PM showers (no, not premenstrual, silly, afternoon~evening~night). So I couldn’t find an umbrella this morning, because I can only find them when I am not actually looking for them. So I am on the M15 bus up First Avenue and notice that the city is looking nothing at all like 9ish in the morning, but rather like the far side of twilight. By the time we get to Bellevue (29th Street), I can see people ducking from beginning rain. Of course, between there and 34th Street (my stop), thunder roars, lightning flashes, and the heavens open up and deposit about a decade’s worth of rain on the streets of NYC.
I dash under some scaffolding and take the crosstown to Park Avenue, but of course the damage is already done. I be one wet lionessy type. The thunder continues to rumble outside; I can hear it all the way away from the windows in my cubicle.
I had to leave work a bit after 3 p.m. yesterday because I was feeling yucky. I am now cold and wet, and feeling spicy skinned and vaguely feverish. Three more Wireless Communications articles must go out today, though, and I might just get to spend the evening with K if the weather … well. The weather being pluperfectly awful (not sure what I mean by the use of “pluperfectly” but it always just seems like extra to me and sounds funny too), I wouldn’t ask anyone to venture forth in this crappiness.
Okay, FWU is done. Carry on.

Love “kiss the bruises/hold up the wounds to the sun” So tender. As for the FWU-methinks there`s been some weather-exchange crap going on over the pond:sounds like you`re having our weather and we, your hot, humid July!
