Trinities
I am not the woman I want to be; I am not the woman I will be; but thank God I am not the woman I was.
A prayer by St. Francis of Assissi.
A prayer by Mrs. K.
A whitter.
~~~~~~~~~~
Lord, make me a channel of thy peace – that where there is hatred, I may bring love – that where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness – that where there is discord, I may bring harmony – that where there is error, I may bring truth – that where there is doubt, I may bring faith – that where there is despair, I may bring hope – that where there are shadows, I may bring light – that where there is sadness, I may bring joy. Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted – to understand, than to be understood – to love, than to be loved. For it is by self-forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven. It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life. Amen.
Prayer
You have shown me so much
revealed more
now what?
I place my life
my will
in Your care
I calm my fears
my loneliness
to await Your next sign
The mission
you know the path I would travel
yes right
it is to live as I dream
gracious and careful
listening and joining in
a communion of healing
To get from this clumsy thoughtless
sometimes embarrassing too muchness
to the woman who might live my own words
attain some portion of my soul’s aspirations
a long road from here to there
fervently hoping that should I reach that place
you will be waiting to take my hand
and walk beside me into the light
loving the picture – it really works well with this entry. it and the words also remind me of the story of the man who wrote all his anger in the sand and all his love in stone, as the wind would wash away his anger but leave behind his love. hugs,
I love this prayer.. St. Francis of Assissi is by far my favourite saint of all time.. Did you know that his father was a Cathar? I think maybe that is where he got his wonderful loving nature and his closeness to the earth.. He was not so fixed in the archaic,dark ways of the catholic church of those times… We are most certainly a product of all we were, are and will be…
LOL…So my secrets have you wondering! One you know. Anyhow, you made me laugh. Thanks for your lovely note. I never bare my soul to any great extent in the diary. Maybe that’s because I need to look into other peoples eyes. Sweet dreams magic poet. A warm hug too. Smiles
Good morning lovely poet. I like the front page picture, very nice. Alas, insomnia ruled my night. How can a Vampire do any work with insomnia hanging around. I’m fanged out this morning. Ah well, at least I don’t have to cope with Aunt Flo. Smiles & Hugs
