Simplicity and clarity
Windmills
I have decided, now that Blogathon 2006 is behind me, to accept signed notes only. (This means that those of my readers who aren’t diarists shall need to use readers’ passwords to note me, but as I very much like to know who’s reading here, such can be provided once a request is emailed. There’s a link for that on the front page.) It’s just keeping things that little bit more simple and clear. Of course, it’s taking a while to take effect, but soon I am sure there will no longer be an unsigned note option.
Most of my entries are public. A few are favorites only. Even fewer are private. At least, for now. I would love to leave the option for non-ODiarists to come along and leave word. However, human beans being how we are, it’s best to provide oneself with a measure of control, even if it is just enough to know who wants to tell me something.
Piles of work after two sick days and a busy weekend.
I want to say less and do more.
Blessings to you.
(P.S. Sorry if various blogathon entries pop up bold; there are a few I forgot to chapterize along the way. I’ll probably just leave things as they are for now, but had to make the final entry go into that chapter. Okay … enough already.)
And blessings to you! Congrats on a successful blogathon.

option already in place with this entry, it takes your new entries only.. if you want to change old entries you’ll have to go back by hand in the maintence menu I think. Saw you on front page, read up, hi, nice to meet you.

Blessings to you as well. I prefer signed notes. If I say it, I ought to have the courage and conviction to stand behind it.

I totally understand your need for signed notes and Faves Only entries. Believe me, I have signed notes only, too, because there are truly mean-spirited people in the world and life’s too short to feel that kind of pain.

It’s your diary and your right to set the parameters for notes. Great achievement completing the Blogathon. Warm hugs, woman of possibly not so many words 😉

Congrats on a successful blogathon indeed. And it’s ok to want to do more and write less.

I agree. Unsigned notes, even if they aren’t ugly, only make one wonder why it is unsigned, etc. etc. Congrats on your success; hope you are getting caught up on your sleep.. I like the windmills! Hugs

I am SO sorry I didn’t get to check in on you during the blogathon. I meant to, but the weekend got away from me. (My current entry explains.). I have used only signed notes nearly from the time I started here. A small bit of control is always necessary, I figure. 🙂

First, congratulations on completing the Blogathon. You done good. Second, since we’ve been allowed to have signed notes only, that’s the only option I’ve allowed. I do allow private notes and probably always will, but they have to have a diary that isn’t private and they have to sign. It tends to keep people more honest and less inclined to let their dark sides out.

unsigned notes have always made me very nervous…
