Questions
I belong in a place approximately 3500 miles from where I am. Unless, of course, someone who is there comes here; then I belong here.
It takes anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour … averaging about 20 minutes … for a whitter to come out.

Searching through the stacks
electronic though they be
to see if I can find it
but it eludes me
achingly
Careening downtown
to that lost attempt at domesticity
how fine they don’t know what I see
when I close my eyes
to go home
A dream of a memory
taking me in from that outside world
you know our shared ocean
its tides so insistently pull us
each to the other
I have listened
through nights and over coffee
and what I have heard is rich and deep
beyond any easy expression
someone who carries what others couldn’t bear
Building in my heart a stronghold
to take it in
what my soul learns of yours
in the days granted me
living at home
Sweet friend – you are traveling a difficult journey. Your soul is deep as is your love. I wish I could tell you it will be easy but you know that would not be the truth. “A dream of a memory taking me in from that outside world you know our shared ocean its tides so insistently pull us each to the other” How beautiful.

Thanks for the quick answer! 🙂 I think I can put 2&2 together and come up with a likely location and maybe piece together a bit of “your story” at the same time (since we’re just getting to know one another). Then again, I’m liable to say 4 when it’s really 22 and make myself look like a bleedin’ edjit.

a dream of a memory. i think, if i had a dream of my memories with *s*, i would cry and cry, and i wouldn’t be able to stop. i am unable to look at pictures or watch videos. i don’t think i will be able to for a *long* while. do you think someday, i might have a happy dream of a memory?

Some days I don’t know where I belong, but I like it here. With a smile…
