Noting and Northampton

Most cool thing about blogathonning: getting to note more than I have been able to recently. Even leaving one note per entry would be 49 favorites visited. That would be something, eh?

I saw something interesting this morning in my email inbox, and now I need to go find it again. Okay; here is the link to it in its original place:

Seems Congress has been slowing up progress since the beginning in this country.

Northampton, Massachusetts is such a beautiful place! It is incredibly relaxed, completely homocomfy and comfy in general. Street vendors abound, as do very cute shops whose owners invite one in to browse during heavy rain, even when they’re fairly certain you won’t be buying anything. Very sparkly stores that sell really nifty stuff I otherwise only ever see in cafepress shops off of my favorite web sites. I think the world could learn gobs of stuff from Northampton about how life is meant to be lived. I know there are many other such places around New England, and look forward to visiting them all.

Favorite t-shirt saying I came across yesterday: “Not all who wander are lost.”

It is beautiful when in communities that are so comfortable and real, isn’t it 🙂 Good going, doing this blogathon! Love,
