I need a shower

I really do. It might help me wake up more. I have had three cups of Maxwell House instant already. K is not a coffee drinker. Maxwell House instant coffee will do just fine while I’m here though, especially the amounts of it I shall probably imbibe today. Tonight, upon arriving at the other place of K (where the K is for the surname rather than the first name, you know what I mean, right?) I shall make a pot of the stuff to help me make it through the night.

I am not any good at promotion, self or any other, so I do want to express my enormous thanks to those who are sponsoring me and thus making contributions to the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, whose link doesn’t seem to be working just now; when it seems to be up and running okay, I’ll do the whole linkydink deal so you can see who I’m doing this for. Although being gay in the USA isn’t the easiest thing to be, there are places in the world where it’s even harder. At least here on our coasts there are places where it is acceptable to love as one must and does. It’s those red states we need to worry about. Oh, who am I kidding? New York State just voted down gay marriage. We have a long way to go all over.

In any case, my heartfelt thanks go to diarists Gemma (click thingie at top of each entry to get familiar with her fabulous granddaughter Savanah of the Most Beautiful Smile and Heart Ever, and donate there if you can, please); FishTacoLover; and ~Just a Dreamer~ for their donations to this lil ole blogger’s project. Your generosity is humbling and deeply appreciated.

As to anyone who would if you could but can’t, believe me: I understand! I am in the same boat, which is why I am blogging like a maniac for 24 hours. I have not enough green stuff to give; I do have this diary, though, and a mind that tends to go onandonandon, so this is my attempt to do some good. I do sort of wish I’d had the brains to make Savanah’s fund my charity, but I didn’t, and I can’t sit wallowing in regret. No … I need to work for queer rights all over the world.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee … it’s Save time!

I am supporting you and other bloggers in spirit – Connecticuit is cool too.

I done mailed a donation to the savanah bean medical fund a few days ago. you will be happy to know that it didn’t hurt to send off that money. 🙂

You’re doing great 😀

ryn *grin* Thanks for the note. It is so wonderful to see you having a good time 🙂 XOX Big Hugs and other stuff,

🙂 Interesting – I had checked out the link last week but didn’t know what you were blogging for. I didn’t realise that Gemma was Savannah’s mother either (guess I haven’t read her diary, just seen her notes) but Savannah’s courage is incredible.
