Heading into Friday

This morning I had that time … do you know it? It’s sort of swimming toward wakefulness. Half asleep, half dreaming … dreams dancing and mingling with thoughts. Wonderment, wondering, seeing things in a different way, a naked and very vulnerable and simple way. Last night’s whitter.

A night of storms

The roar of a rampant ravenous beast
whips and rips the air outside these windows
and I rejoice in the sound
thinking yes oh Storm
this is where you belong
for a mass of land has awaited your coming
and can embrace all you throw at it
so leave the battened down place
I visit behind closed eyes
in calm and gentle comfortability
dance with me in your gusts and bite
for I should weather and shoulder
your ferocity
but there the olive smoothness
that life offers in your absence
is devoutly necessary
so I hold in my heart a wish
for a storm with me

I love the thoughts of building storms, the raging at the crest then the slow decrease into calm again…in life and in poetry. Isn’t that what life is….all the parts of storm.. Hugs

I love the sheer passion that lies within a storm…

I love the lull after the storm… much like that half awake, lazing in bed feeling. 😉 Hugs,

Nice.

one of my favorite things is to hunker down with my electric blanket truned on, and listen to the wind and waves. might do that today.

I love storms, but when they don’t harm people or things. hehe We got a lot of rain the other day, that night Cali got 5 inches of sleet, and I forget how many inches of rain.. and in the East you guys got snow and nasty wind. *hugs* Was an interesting week for weather.

Ah, the storms of life, within and without. Stay safe. Hugs ~
