Giving Kitten her say
Cousin M, Grandma, me aged 10, Cousin H
Kitten was my Grandma’s nickname for me. (Okay, sometimes it was Poor Pitiful Pearl or Cinderella, usually when it came to me helping with some aspect of housework, but usually it was Kitten.) She was an incredible woman who took in a shattered four-year-old and gave me 16 years of stability, a better than average education, and a touch of spoiling. She never had it easy, but always lived with great dignity and grace.
That four-year-old was and is a force to be reckoned with … for me. I let her talk to me last night, told her some healthy things to calm her down, and snuggled with her at bedtime. I woke up this morning to find that she’d gone off to wherever it is she goes, so she must be feeling better now and wanted to go out and play.
It’s Friday! One sleep and a wake up until my first ever Pride Event attendance, and I will get to go with my glorious Unn! How fine is that? Very fine indeed, if you ask me, and even if you don’t. 😛 Have a fine day.

Boundaries
set against the flow
power builds
it’s physics isn’t it
engineering
Pilgrim
heed sense
encountered in companions
learn to offer
sweet silence as respite
Messages flare
convene to scream
that familiar chorus
they will all get along
so fine after one fool vanishes
They are old
insistent
but pilgrim
there is a new song
in the night
Absence
nothing left to check
draw the blinds
when tomorrow rouses you
tread softly
I really like this C. It seems you too are on a journey of awakenings, doesn’t it feel wonderful to let go of some of the pains of life?. I hope so for you. Much much love Cathy, Bren.

My first Pride event was awesome. I loved the experience. I hope yours is as wonderful and soul-awakening as mine was. 🙂

Fridays are good days to go out and play! In spite of my name being Cynthia and my nickname being Cyndi, no one has ever called me Cinderella. I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing!

I hope you have a great time tomorrow
