My computer is gasping. This means that probably (but not definitely) I will not be online very much for a couple of days. I am thinking that if I turn this machine on it will be to copy scads of stuff onto disks before I investigate the possibility of a new hard drive at the very least. A visit to the Computer Medical Center may be necessary in the very near future.
Here’s a whitter.

Insight

“The end of dreaming is the end of fear.”
“What is temptation
but a wish to make illusions real?”*

I am an illusion of my own making
a figment of a fragmented mind
so if I stop believing in me
in the blankness I will be free
the silence a welcome respite
words cleared
a blank slate

She explored herself into oblivion
all the while her only hope lay
in burning and reincarnation
matter floating pointlessly
into a black hole
even the ink chose to stop flowing
there being nothing more to say

Where does redemption lie
in the course of a river
carrying away the sins and the sinner
toward another plane
oh do spin a prayer wheel
heal them all
south and east and in the next room

She didn’t know and she didn’t know
and I didn’t know a thing
they know too much
I explored and I exploded
make of my shreds some sturdy stuff
from which to build a launching pad
for angels to take flight

First thought: that last part really spoke to me, to my heart. This is also true: I need a frikking launching pad.

Hello I am back writing on fod hope you are well lovely lady

I really really really (you rascally rabbit) think you should be serious about publishing the whitters. Perhaps a series of chapbooks? You computer gasps? Mine simply keels over sideways unceremoniously.

*hugs* we’ll be here when your puter feels like puting again 😀

You must be published. Must, must, must! The more poetry I read the more I recognise how excellent yours is. Nudging you sweet poet 🙂 Hope the computer can be mended. Wishing you a day that moves nicely. Warm Hugs

Computer flu? Gack – just what we don’t need in these winter months – we must have our opening on the world, our lovely OD! Wonderful whitter, by the way…

ryn block: You asked me about that, didn’t you? I’m sorry, completely slipped my mind: http://www.opendiary.com/entrylist.asp?authorcode=A103342&mode=date “brian”
