Finally!

Yes indeed, folks; finally there is a statue of someone really important!

Does it matter that he is a fictional character? I think not! This man (oh okay, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) got me through some very rough patches in life. Imagine how thrilled I was to arrive at Baker Street and find this wonderful statue of one of my all time favorite men!

I will be getting lots of photos of the digital variety in another week or two so prepare yourselves. The ones I have now are almost all of London (with the exception of yesterday’s photo, which was taken after returning to Ireland from London) and I might be posting some of those too, but … well, I felt that the estimable Mr. Holmes should be entered here as soon as possible! Righto … have yourselves a grand Friday!

He did too. A great part of my great fascination with mystery has to do with him.

how cool!

I like Sherlock quotes, like: “There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact.” or the ones about, “… eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth”. Glad you are sharing your trip with us : ) Hugs and Smiles
