A fine day

Zephyr

I did not know then
that sometimes
what we think we know
can be altered in a flash
that destiny can decide for us
a future our imaginations
so busily fabricating fantasies
could never dream

Oh the ways of life wind strange
someone knows before I guess
everything
she asked for news
how strange I found it
none expected but
within an hour there it was
she has done it so often
she is right
she knows the unseen

Running
not from but always toward
and I wonder at a world
a universe
where we despite improbability
have been united
fool and shaman
sailboat and harbor

Working made light
in light of a course revealed
oh how well I remember
the fear
because my heart was still dancing
when for her it leapt
and because even then
she knew so much I didn’t know
and barely dared to see

Filled with the light of
quiet twilights
give us peace
this is enough
partake of this cup of my soul’s joy
welcome to my tale of fate
this is what is
smile for me when you can
all is well
the soft breeze brings me home

Up Armagh!

Lovely, ME. The third stanza especially is speaking to me this morning. May your Sunday be all that you could want it to be!

Deeply soulful, yet,it has a beautiful lyricism the layers of which only you know. Destiny has a cute way of whacking us when we least expect it to. That’s probably why it’s called destiny. If we could see it coming, we could be tempted to run away. When it hits us, we have to go with the flow. Ouch!!!! Something just hit me? Love& Hugs sweet poet;)

Feel like breaking out….hope I don’t get measles! LOL What am I saying, I’ve had those. Thanks for your note in the KM diary. So sweet of you. Smiles & Hugs
