For Blaze

Hear her
through those heavy ivy smothered walls
let the richness of her rainbow shine
bringing all her colors in
to brighten those hallowed hollow spaces there

Drink a toast
to all that she is
her tried and tender heart
just now opening so brave
to sweet new possibilities

Sunday
Independence Day weekend
she bears witness
as two hearts proclaim unity
with comfort for all

Oh celebrate
dance in her blazing glory
for she knows every secret
in every shade present
in the rainbow of her heart
