I am not going to Ireland this summer. However … I am going to an Irish festival today! There will be music and food and nifty gifties and … Gaelic football! Yes, for the first time ever I shall be where it is being played! Previously I have only watched it on the telly.
I am meeting a new friend for the first time too! Wish me luck! Wish her luck! This will all take place in Connecticut, the state with the silent C (the second one; the other two are not silent but quite clearly pronounced. Methinks the middle C is shy.).
I shall have two glorious train trips too. I like train trips. I will also have two subway trips; not my favorite occupation, but sometimes worth it for getting where one needs to go.
