Sibling Crap

~*~*~~*The black cloud, otherwise known as my sister has rolled into town.  Ugh, Family and all the petty asinine bullshit that goes with “family”.  I am trying my best to avoid any contact.  The nephews are in and out and I don’t mind that, our kids are best buds.  I can’t stand those families that pull the kids into everything, making them a pawn in the ongoing fight.

~*~*~Today was a beautiful, sunny sunny day here in Western PA. *sigh* FINALLY, a SUNNY day.  Went driving with oldest child, chatted about all the things pertinent, big and small in her 18-year-old world.  Her art teacher is a “dick”. Unfair, unfair he is.  Prom is soon, to tan or not to tan?  The guys from the firehall want to escort her to Prom via Engine 4.  Marie is getting on her nerves.  Tara had detention last week for skipping guitar class to finish a report in the library, the whole idea that she is making her own rules is totally escaping her.  Her defense: “It wasnt like I was skipping an academic class”.  Life according to a teenager.  We did lunch–chinese buffet, yum.

~*~*~~~I never finished the car fiasco story, but the bottom line is AAA is accepting responsibilty for the damage to my car & are going to fix it.  IF the head is cracked or warped they will have to replace the engine!!! FYI: DONT BREAK DOWN IN WALTERBORO, SC!!!  Man, a b-16 would be sweet–hey change that transmission while you are at it to a manuel.  God I miss driving a 5 speed,  Tara is driving the old 5-speed civic now, I want to teach my boys to drive a manuel also, I believe everyone should know how to drive a stick.         I miss my car.

~*~*~ Re-stained the steps, painted the flowerbox and did a bunch of general bs cleaning outside.  It was nice just being outside all day, ended the day with bbq chix on the grill, garlic corn & peas, rice. deeeeeeeeelish.  I’ve been on a gym break for the last two weeks, longest I have been away in 2 years.  I am feeling all beer bloated, better go tomarrow.
