Path of Exile

Ugh, so tired. It was nice working mornings. Ideally I can find a 9-5-ish job, these days I’m wired to wake up early. Getting old I suppose.

Pretty sure I at least have a weekend job lined up. The lady has been kind of weird/vague with the replies, but she sent me an application, complete with tax form and tons of stuff to fill out, so, uh, I assume that means I got it. It’s demo work, like going to Costco or wherever and being that awesome person that gives away free samples of food. Not sure how it’s going to work exactly, it sounds like I do my own thing, just floating out there like a food mercenary, and grab assignments once they’re posted. Then, they mail my kit to me for the job, covertly dropping it to me as if I’m in the jungle trying to take down Communists. With intergalactic missiles.

Or maybe it’s a scam, who knows. Seems legit though. I had to use the scanner at work so I could sign everything and make it digital again so I can email it to them. I just need to take a picture of myself to put on one of the forms. I looked through my facebook, and in the 200-ish photos of myself, there’s not a single presentable one where it’s not poor lighting or I’m not making a weird face/pose. Lolz. So, yeah, hopefully this works, worst case scenario random company will have my social security number. Ha.

The notion of job security and having a job lined up as I leave another one is…nice. Very nice. Nice enough that it hasn’t sunk in yet. There are a lot of postings, so I can take my time and be kind of choosy. There was one for a bank teller job, that wouldn’t be bad. Hopefully i can find a week job to supplement the weekend one. As it is this would be a perfect schedule for going to school, but I can’t go yet, and that’s not enough dough to get my own place, even with plasma money. At least, not at the moment, once Kris and David move down it’d be manageable. Saving up the money for first month’s rent plus deposit wherever I get a place will be somewhat tough without a fulltime job.

I leave in two days. Still haven’t packed yet. Wooooo!
