Bunker Bay

Well we’re in our last few days and the rain has decided to pay a visit and its cooled things down quite a bit. Having said that its about 23 and for us in NZ this would be pleasant but having lived thru tempatures in the high 30’s I’m feeling the cold!!!

We are staying at a resort called Quay West Resort. Nice place but not the same settings as our last place…sigh…none the less the spa bath and wines makes up for some the bush life we are not seeing :0)

We’ve been for a drive to the lighthouse and down to Margaret River and thats taken up most of the day. We stopped at a place on the way back that sells Venison so we have tea all organised…yummmm…but it does put you off a bit to see bambi standing in the field next to you and then your buying slabs of mum to fry up…oh well no worse than sheep and lambs I suppose!

On Monday we went to the Perth Casino – Burswood – and stayed at the hotel, all very nice and we set ourselves a limit and proceeded to gamble, it took us about 3 hours to walk away even, but had lots of fun in the meantime. Having felt rather pleased with ourselves about not having lost any money we had a couple of cocktails at the bar and this gave us enough gumption to go back to the casino and lose our money in 20 minutes flat!!! Lesson to be learned, once you walk away stay away 🙂

Well better mozzy on and get some more shopping done as I have a spa bath calling me.

Till next time, will we be home?!?!?!?!?!

LOL about the gambling. We did that on a gambling cruise, but didn’t feel too bad because we had set a limit and didn’t spend more than that. 🙂

Yes,you need to win, not just break even -you need funds to visit Eastern Australia! We have plenty of kangaroos and emus here – both raw and cooked. But I’m not so sure about the bambis.
