Superbowl

So another nice evening.

Had a bit of a lazy day, catching up on some reading, still in the midst of rereading my old entries, although I’m getting to the part I kind of dread where I started turning off my brain and making really dumb mistakes, but I figure reading it through might be good for me, even if I already know how it all ends…

Managed to hit the gym, and on a whim decided to go get my eyebrows done… hey why not?

Last night Anne had invited me to a superbowl party, I’ve never actually been to one, so I decided why not? Picked up Anne and Julien and headed over there, I thought there would be more people I knew being as Carl is a swing dancer who’s been around a while. There were a few, but most of them were from the studio I’ve never been to. Anyhow, turned into a fun time, it was incredibly hot though, with all those people jammed in to his condo.

I was impressed with half-time show (have to be honest, watched none of the first half, too busy making food and chatting). Vogue is one of the songs we did with the choir, and I was part of the dancers that did the choreography, so I’m always interested in seeing new takes on it. I completely understood one of the comments the choreographer is always telling us, how mouvements have to end sharp so that each movement is a picture opportunity… I have to say the two dancers with Madonna in Vogue… they definitely had that concept down!

After that, I actually watched the game, Julien seemed to like explaining the rules to me, so I can actually say that I now understand the general jist of the game… don’t think I’ll be turning into a fan anytime soon, but at least I understand. He now tells me that I must watch a rugby game (he’s French, so rugby is definitely more his style than American Football lol). I told him I would need someone like him to sit with me and explain the rules, he said he would be happy to do so lol!

Anyhow, once the game was over (and strangely I had a feeling the Giants would win), drove Anne and Julien home and dropped off Melissa too. The only down side to my evening is that I realised upon getting home that my Ipod seems to have fallen out of my car, or my pocket at some point in the evening… I actually drove all the way back to the condo to see if it had fallen out of my car, and then to Anne’s place, although I didn’t remember opening the car door there… Finally I rechecked the ground near where I had parked by my place, but nothing… I dropped Carl a note on facebook, just in case it had been in my pocket and just fell out when people moved my coat around on the bed… I really hope it turns up, that little Ipod Nano was very convenient… sigh

Anyhow, off to bed with myself, got a clamp to run in the morning… urgh, I hate 5:45 wakeups.
