and it keeps going and going and…

So my schedule is starting to get together.

Monday to Thursday class, 8:30 to around 4:30. Tuesday night I have guitar lessons, Wednesday is choir. Friday I work the day shift at the youth centre, Sunday is day shift at the jail. Trying to fit in at least another shift for the coming weeks. So far I’ve been using Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights for homework, along with my free periods at school, and some free time on my weekends. I’ve even manage to see Fred for a few hours a week, usually on Saturday night or Sunday afternoon. Only thing left to put in will be rehearsals, if and when. I have the call backs tomorrow. An all-day audition… wonder how that goes?

I know it seems completey hectic and crazy. But I’m actually enjoying myself. I like having a regular schedule, I definitely don’t miss my night shifts, although I may have to do a few if nothing else pans out. I am enjoying most of my classes. They consist of Organic Chemistry, which I enjoy and the prof is quite amusing; Cellular Biology, which will be a lot of memorisation, but the prof is fantastic; Biochemistry, a lot of work, I can already tell, but such fascinating information; a chemistry lab and Physical Chemistry which are both taught by the same professor which I honestly hope never to have again as she is… frankly awful. She recites the book, overexplains simple concepts in such a way as to confuse the issue, and glosses over the complicated stuff. Fortunately the manual is fairly easy to understand, and I’ve always been good at math and physics, which is seems to be the base of that particular class… just leaves the lab to deal with, and the lab techs seem good, so hopefully everything will sort itself out.

I’ve managed to get ahead on just about everything. I still have a two question assignment to do for organic chemistry, but that shouldn’t take long so I’ve been leaving it, as I have things that take more motivation to do. Like learning the 20 structures, names and codes of the essential amino acids… and like I said… strangely, I’m enjoying myself.

There was a bbq yesterday for the biochemistry final year class, a few of my classmates were there, so I managed to meet a few of them, starting to feel a little more part of the bigger group. One girl started questionning me, she said she could tell I was older than they were… I could tell she was trying to figure out my age from the conversation we were having about my background… she was still shocked when I told her my age. She thought I was about 25. Makes me laugh… I’m proud of my age, but I’m more than happy to look younger… lol!

Well, off to bed, big day tomorrow.
