The Ocean

Aloha…

Another beautiful day here at the coast… blue sky… a light breeze… the surface of the ocean is very calm…

I watch two guys unload their kayaks from the top of their car… carry them across the beach to the water… put on life jackets… then slide the kayaks onto the water…

Off they go… a bit hesitant at first… but after a couple of minutes… they are gliding out toward bird island…

Not as many people at the beach today… but those that are here… are enjoying this especially nice day…

I miss my times on Maui… I miss swimming in the ocean and/or the pool… snorkeling in the warm tropical water…

I miss sailing out from Lahaina harbor over to Lanai… out among the humpback whales…

I miss… well… you get the idea…
