While perusing the internet… I came across an article that I had written quite some time ago… Open Diary was still going… but in the process of shutting down:
“Maui Jim here… I joined Open Diary in February of 1999… wrote about my divorce… the deaths of my two younger brothers… the death of my youngest daughter… and finally the passing of my mom and dad… shared with readers the sadness… and the joy that has come my way… I know it is frustrating to have the site go down… but really… at least for me it’s not the end of the world… I have found this place to be so healing… and the notes left for me by readers like you have helped me to become the person that I am today… the site will come up again (he said hopefully)… and all will be right with the world (smiles)”…
