Slobby Saturday Morning Interrupted

Why can’t people seem to understand that Saturdays are for slobbing about?  Saturdays, you loll about in bed for a while, stumble out when the sun is shining too brightly through the window, throw on your comfiest (ugliest) old clothes and slob out in front of the music video show on TV.  But people here do not seem to understand that.

Last Saturday, I got a phone call at 730am.  Telling me I *didn’t* get a job.  How’s that for adding insult to injury?

And today… well admittedly it’s nearly 11am, but the guy who manages the orchard I live on just came and knoclked on the door.  He wanted to introduce me to another guy who is going to be doing some work about the place.  Which is good – it’s good to be introduced to strange men who are going to be wandering around my house, so I don’t call the police on them.  But seriously!  I’m wearing a old skirt with holes in it, a nasty baggy old jersey, and no underwear of any description.  My hair is unbrushed and unwashing, my eyes still have sleep around them and I’m pretty sure I have a patch of dried drool on one corner of my mouth.  In short, I am not in a fit state to be meeting anyone!  On the plus side, I did actually decide to put clothes on.  I was almost going to have a naked morning, but I decided it was still a little cold for such carry-on.

i’m very glad that you decided not to have a naked morning. the men might have appreciated it, but i’m sure that you wouldn’t have been thrilled. saturdays are definitely for just hanging out. my parents have decided that saturdays are ‘work days’ & i need to wake up as early as i do on school days & work my butt off all morning. fun fun.

I imagine the weather will be heating up any day now, though, hey? This is great! Now I’ll know whenever you’ve updated!

The nature of the arrangement of the little group of houses where I live means I must pretty much be decently dressed at most times. It is fine in the living room, bedroom and bathroom upstairs, but on the landing, and the kitchen, there are no curtains and about 13 other little houses can look in on my windows (as I can look in on theirs….)

I don’t know that I would be running around naked with strange men in my orchard.

RYN: I don’t mind at all! I hope you enjoy the songs. 🙂 –Psuedonymm, nsi

haha. i understand those ideas perfectly, however i am not normally able to practice them.
