Lesbian Writer Extraordinairre

I stumbled upon a website promoting a gay magazine based in one of this country’s major cities a few weeks ago. They had a competition running, with the entire series of Xena on DVD as first prize, so of course I entered. Just last night, I got an email saying that I’d won a consolation prize of season one of Xena on DVD. Most exciting!

Anyway, the editor wrote me an email, curious as to how I got a copy of the magazine in this obscure part of the country, and mentioning that it was going national next month. I wrote back to explain that I’d just stumbled accross the website and also happened to mention that if they are looking for new writers since they were going national, I’m their girl! About half an hour ago, I got an email saying, they’re definitely looking for new writers and they’re really interested!

How excellent is this? I literally squealed at my computer whenI got the email. Of course, now I have to get myself together enough to write a whole article!
