Entry on the Sly

So the Sloopster has moved into La Casa Revolutionista. We’re two crazy old women living in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere she maintains, nevermind the fact that it’s not a log cabin and the locals seem to get offended when you describe the area as the middle of nowhere.

Sloopy’s presence in La Casa of course explains my absence from OD. Not so much because we’ve been hanging out constantly (although that’s almost true), but because the computer is smack-bang in the middle of the only living area we have. Because of the funny funny design of this house, she can even look down on it from her room (it’s a mezzanine floor over the living area). I don’t, of course, want her to know about my diary, so my writing opportunities have become very limited. At this moment, it’s early morning and she is still asleep.

But all is not lost! We are planning a large reorganisation of the garage, to create another living area, including a computer-alcove (and also an art working space, although Sloopy doesn’t know that yet). Once that happens my OD presence should return to normal *much cheering and waving of arms*

I am missing OD and all my dear readers something chronic. And, not meaning to be a tease or anything, but boy do I have some stories to tell right now!

Living with Sloopy (it occurs to me that I should report back on this) is pretty damned lovely. It’s so easy to get so terribly insular when living alone for extended periods of time, especially when you’re in the middle of nowhere, so it’s nice to be drawn out of that state a little bit. It’s nice to not have to cook every single night, and it’s nice to have an excuse to often cook really good proper meals. There is more to say, but not enough time.

So my lovelies, I hope you’re all doing OK. My thoughts are often with you, and I’ll hopefully get the time to catch up on your diaries sooooooooon. Missing you all.
