…And Receiving
My favourite client treats me like a princess. Last night I turned up for a booking with him and he’d strewn the bed with chocolates. He wanted to see me in my Mistress gear, so I changed into my PVC dress and boots with 8-inch heels (cos no way could I drive anywhere like that). He enjoyed the novelty of me being taller than him for a while and I even let him take a photo of me (something I won’t allow most of my clients to do). But then he asked me to get undressed and lie on the bed. He gave me a full-body massage, working hard to get every little kink and knot out of my back, with me all the while eating chocolates and drinking sparkling wine. I give a lot to my clients and I don’t complain because I get paid extremely well for it, but sometimes it’s nice to be given back to, too.
It clarified for me how much this work demands of my body and the respect I therefore need to give it. After the New Year, after the silly and expensive holiday season, I’m having a re-organisation of the way I work and the way I manage my money. And I’ve decided I’m going to set aside a certain portion of my earnings to really look after my body – to feed myself only good food, to use only good high-quality make-up (because make-up is a necessary evil in my work), to give myself regular professional massages and manicures and facials, to have regular dental check-ups, to see the alternative health practitioners I like to see, all without feeling guilty about spending the money. Not to be one of those vacuous body-obsessed individuals who won’t leave the house without their french-tips and their hair professionally set, but to maintain and respect my body which I demand so much from.
While I’m here I wanted to share this link with you, just cos it made me smile. I especially like the ingredients list, and the “Those who bought this also bought…”
Taking care of the body is *sooo* important – it’s the only house we have while we’re here, after all. đŸ™‚
