Shopping, shopping and more shopping.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas. I sure did.  The best part about Christmas is the Boxing day sales.

My favourite clothing store had a 50% off EVERYTHING sale. Needless to say I think I own 1 of everything they sell now.  Well not quite but I did spend a lot of money in there. It’s all good.

Yesterday we went shopping again. I needed new shoes so we headed out to the shoe store. I saw lots of cute shoes in the womans department that I wanted. I tried on a few pairs and they were all too big.  What the heck?  Last time I bought shoes (about 5 or 6 months ago) I needed a size 7. Now I couldn’t even fit into a size 6. They were too big. I had to go to the girls department and get my shoes. How crazy is that???  I found a pair of New Balance running shoes in size 5 that fit me and then I noticed a shelf of really cute boots on sale for 60% off. I tried on a size 5 girls and they fit too. So I bought them.

When we got up to the register the guy was a bit scattered brained. The boots were regularly 19.99 but were supposed to be 60% off. So 60% off would make the boots $8.00 but they rang up at $10.00. I said to the guy "Those are supposed to be 60% off" and without even checking he says "okay" and voids the $10.00 then overrides the price and gives me 60% off the 10.00 price so I ended up getting the boots for $4.00.  BONUS!

I could have said something but it’s not my job to ensure those cashiers are doing their job correctly.  Besides I like a good deal every now and then anyway.

Anyway the point of this ramble is I can not believe my feet shrunk 2 whole sizes.  That’s crazy. I like it. I can buy kiddie shoes and pay less for them. Go me! lol

Wow, two sizes? That’s crazy! I wonder if that is common with weight loss? Yay for bargians! 😀

I totally believe you on the shoe thing! Before kids I wore an 8-8.5 but since kids it seems I ALWAYS lean towards the 9….and it is often too narrow. Hopefully the skinny feet thing happens to me when I get loosin’!

Those sales are nice!! My feel are already small! I wear about the same size as you, but it does vary! Maybe it’ll be the same for me. Woah! =)

wow! I just sat here and read all of your entries and I just wanted to tell you what an inspiration you are to me. I weigh a little more than you did when you started and I can only hope to have the same results that you had in 1 year. You really are amazing. Congrats! You make it seem so easy but I know it’s really not. Keep up the good work and you’ll hit your goal in no time.

That’s crazy that your feet have shrunk. I don’t think mine will I only wear a 1/2 size bigger than I did 10 years ago when I was thin

ryn: I had forgotten how much I love to sew! lol I’ve really been enjoying getting back into it. I don’t think I’ve ever really had a “sewing room”. It’s awesome. 🙂 Happy new year!

So how awesome does it feel to get to wear clothes that are dramatically smaller in size since last year??

i have horribly fat feet, i haven’t even thought about smaller feet while losing weight lol, i yearn to wear the cute hardly any material stiletto shoes with jeans without my foot looking all swollen and gross
