Green Tea in place of water?
I’ve read so many different opinions on this topic.
Does anyone know if it’s feasible to drink green tea (decaf) in place of water. Not ALL of the water but say 5 glasses of tea to 1 glass of regular water?

I’ve read in Self magazine that green tea is supposed to be really good for you. I would think that as long as it was the decaf kind, you could replace some of your water with it… Good luck! 🙂

I am sure it would be fine. I was looking and couldn’t find a limit per se. As long as it’s caffeine free. I heard something about bone loss but I think that has more to do with the caffeine than the tea itself. It is so good for you. I wish I could make it taste better.

I think if you get the decaf kind its okay. Plus green tea has a lot of antioxidants too. I have read that white tea is even healthier for you than green tea but here its a lot more expensive.

I wouldn’t replace that much water with green tea. Green tea has amazing health benefits, but there comes a point where drinking a certain amount a day brings the same benefits… like 6 glasses isn’t going to do you any better than 2 glasses will.
