Love and value going to parties with you!! Live music, dancing favorites jigs. What a fun-loving culture you have and joyful traditions! / Know what you mean about the pleasure of being able to talk (shout) together, too. / In her photos alone Lily looked large but with Nikki she returned to her wee, petite self. Maleably tempered baby ready for any adventure, it sounds. / Beautifully written. I’ll imagine you writing away at your table by the window and hear laughter every once in awhile.
aw she is sooo cute, and yes feet are the best toys!

What a beautiful child! I know, I owuld say that, I love all babies, but she is lovely. ANd how clever .. Uh- oh, the walking isn’t far away. What a wonderful time you had at the ceiledh! That’s one thing that we used to have here to some extent, depending on where you lived. Strip the willow even, though tame … well, depending n which cousins I danced with …. would be wlecome now.Not sure I ever Dashed or Gordoned, but we have our own AUssie versins – possibly you’d recognise the steps. I have a feeign much of our “bush” music, poetry and song is cribbed. *sigh* I’ll need to see if I can get to a ceiliedh if I ever get to Scotland.

No, thanks to Youtube, I knw now that I have never dashed any colour of sergeant at all. not sure if this is australian – I doubt it, but I’ve done this more times than I can count, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9mK605r9Po&list=PL987847656D36EB8A and of course the pride of erin.
I love that look on Lily’s face. So proud of herself! Your cousin certainly doesn’t look 50! That sounds like a party I’d love to have been at. That’s my kind of music!
But surely Lily’s only just three weeks old? no? She’s beautiful. 🙂 And cheeky with it. Oh, so lovely. Such a lovely description of the bubble blowing. Oh…why does it go so fast? And your sister manages Capercailie? My goodness! I throw myself at your…no her, feet. totally green with envy there. Must have been a great night.

Soon she’ll be in school . . . in a blink of an eye. I can hardly believe my own son will be 32 this year. I saw a photograph of myself at that age at my mother’s house last night, and I thought of it. How time flies. Maybe you should practice dancing once in a while since Trooper doesn’t exdercise you in a straight line. And I know what you’re saying — my lab Gunner was the same way. He never met a smell he didn’t like. 🙂
very nice pictures baby is coming on well :-)I bet your justas busy nopw as when Nikki was young 🙂

ryns: You made me laugh with that slip – didn’t even know I’d written that. 🙂 Yes I’d love to meet, though are plans seem to be changing a bit. Instead of four days between Glasgow and Edinburh, we might make the most of it and come for a ten day trip a bit later on. I’m hankering after that, but feel awful as it means Sean has to foot the bill for everything. If we ever decide on a date and book something I’ll be sure to let you know.
Lily looks such a happy babe! Great that you had a good party, even if all the dancing was a bit much.

RYN: upi may have been right – sanity seems to have reasserted itself after I switched Matilda off. You have inspired me to send off for the CD & book of the steps to a few of those dances – I’m determined to get Himself along to something like that one of these days. Thank you.

RYN: Thank you. If it makes you feel better I have a coffee date with a 47 year old software developer tonight. I hurt like a mo-fo, but I’m not going to mope.xx
Lilly! How cute!!!! And the party does sound like so much fun. When we were at Cousin E’s son’s wedding a year and a half ago I was watching all those young energetic kids dancing non-stop for half the night — and was horrified to realize that… I’m one of the old people sitting and watching now!!!! And sneaking glances at the clock…EEEKK!!!
Lily is sooooo pretty!!!! i really enjoy Celtic music and listen to the hour show every Friday evening on NPR.

RYN: Yeah he’s pretty good – apart from his (abruptly aborted) attempt to lecture me about falling for married men lol…I made it very clear that I didn’t need that and he stopped. Thanks for your notes. Its made a tough week more bearable.xx
Love love love the baby photos!
