Oh yes, I can hear the growling and hissing, feel the tension, see the wary movement about the house. Perhaps the little one will unite everyone. (Just call me Pollyanna.) Or everyone will be too exhausted to notice. Smiley Susan looks like a Savior./ Good hearing from you and Best Wishes to you, Nikki and the Herd.

It’s hard enough for 2 people to learn how to live together again after all these years, but with animals too…hopefully it’ll get better soon. Contracts and agreements. Try to do something fun together once a week, if she’s feeling up to it, until the baby comes. {{{huggs}}}

I didn’t notice Suzy Cute in the first picture in which she appeared. She’s a ginger, too?

Lovely set of pics – I was going to mention the sun here – too hot for me!!-´but thought better of it.

LOL! So, all in all, it sounds like things are going pretty well. The babe won’t need much space itself…it’s all the bumpf that goes with it. We’re in the middle of getting rid of all the baby gear once and for all…it’s horrifying quite how much crap we’ve accumulated. 😉

oh gosh, I love that Smiley Susan. Glad they are all rubbing along ok. Sometimes I wonder too how people used to manage in such tight spaces not to mention horrible conditions. Wanted to say thank you for all your notes lately. YOu do hit the nail on the head very frequently and it helps to know that someone else understands.

Love reading your entries, always a giggle !! The cats look quite scornful and as for trooper he looks as if he’s thinking ” I just want a quiet life “

How did I miss this?? Well, like I miss everything by being so slapdash with OD. Great pictures!! When we got Eddie and Cayce, the vet told us it takes about a month for each year of a cat’s life to really get used to another cat. Unless they are exceptionally mellow. And it actually seemed pretty accurate- Stella was 7 at the time and it did take a good half-year for her to admit the kittens werefun and she kind of liked them. You have all my sympathy for your loss of space!! I’ve wondered that about past generations too. My father’s family had eight people – six kids- and they lived in a teeny house with two little bedrooms and another room in the middle of the house with a big bed that everyone had to walk through to get anywhere else. I don’t know how they didn’t all go insane.

Although, let me hastily add that it wasn’t miserable until she finally accepted them. She would just glare at them and be annoyed. And slap if they got too close. So it was much more entertaining than like bedlam. Trooper really IS a good good boy!

Great photos. My husband was brought up in a Glasgow tenement. Although being young he didn’t notice the lack of room.
