OH, I JUST SAW the…ummmm… HAHAHAHAHA!! YAY!!!!!!! That is hysterical- how oblivious is it possible to be?!? I’m so glad Nikki enjoyed it so much, despite it being such a weird and unfriendly experience. That’s even worse than the ordinary bad customer service, when it’s involving something so major and thrilling for the customers. I’ve never seen one of the 3-D ones but it would probably completely freak me out, as squeamish as I am. Ultrasounds kind of freak me out. Oh, how I know that feeling of suppressing the worry and stress and frustration until you just have a sudden meltdown. At least it’s out in the open now!
You make me laugh! if you don’t have the code, that’s not my problem….sing it sister!!

gosh what a horrible welcome and yet, what a great experience for you and Nikki to see babs. Squeals of delight? A girl? In the end, it won’t matter when snuggly, snuffy bubby is there. 🙂 Oh you lucky things. What I’d give to have those early days again.
You did a great job of not ‘telling’ the sex! ha ha I’m glad you both are happy. My son and his wife are expecting their second child the last of Nov and her ‘sex scan’ as I call it is in 3 weeks. They have a little girl Emily who will be 4 just after the baby is born. I had 2 boys and I love Emily dearly (my only grandchild) so I’m hoping for a boy. Though I won’t get to see them asmuch since they moved to Australia from England. I could take 2 weeks off work and hop over to England and it wasn’t a bad trip but Australia is the other side of the world. I’m bummed they are so far away and will always live there.
Yeah, the way people know these days what they’re having. We didn’t even have an ultrasound back in the day (31 years ago) when I was expecting my son, because I wasn’t a high-risk pregnancy. Didn’t know his gender until the doctor told me. But you’re right, “customer service” is so much an oxymoron anymore these days.
I have no idea what these 3D scans are. Never heard of ’em. But it sounds like an unmedical optional extra. Is that right? I had an ultrasound with my second as they thought he was twins (He’s almost been double the trouble anyway) but he was upside down. I hadn’t realised that when they come out bum first, they stay folded up for a while. I used to wrap him tightly, but he still rocked like a banana when I laid him down.
Brilliant! Glad that NIkki enjoyed the scan (even if it was filled with drama) and ROFL, you won’t BELIEVE how long it took me to twig to the secret. 😉
we felt it was all a bit of an effort and actually we were just a pain in the backside for turning up! Naturally. You weren’t deterred. She’s probably spoiled by the number of no-shows who give up and never find the place.
Well, I haven’t been able to suss out the gender of the baby, so you are doing well! At least you and Nikki communicate after you have one of these stress periods (or she has one). Sometimes it’s hard to know when the stress is building…you just get accustomed to more and more discomfort. Anyways, you’ve been a very supportive mother.

How wonderful that Nikki got the scan – though I would be sorely tempted to tell Groupon how badly you were treated – it really was appalling.

Groupon is a mess, I will never use them again. Glad Nikki was happy though.
